About Me

Hi. I'm Rich, owner of this here establishment and publisher, writer, and chief bottle
washer of Modern Acoustic magazine. What started as a lark, designing a cover for a
non-existent magazine (hence the overtly pompous kicker "The music magazine for
really cool people") has turned into a full-fledged publication and website. I'm
learning web design on the fly so bear with me as the site progresses
(hopefully for the better).

OK, now a little personal background: I am an editor in the Living/Arts department at
a major metropolitan daily newspaper in Boston and have been in the biz for almost 30
years. I live north of the city -- yes, in the suburbs, and spend a lot of time listening to
and reading about music. I have a wonderful wife and two wonderful kids and,
a wonderful little dog (the kids got their way!).
